Pattni may walk free in AG deal
Another fraud suspect has applied to the Attorney General to enter an out-of-court agreement.

Goldenberg architect Kamlesh Pattni wants a plea bargain in the Sh5.8 billion case where he is one of the accused.

Attorney General Amos Wako has in turn asked the Central Bank and The Treasury to compute the exact amount owed by Mr Pattni.

It is a new trend taking shape in the Kenyan Judiciary system.

On Monday, a former personal assistant of former President Moi, Mr Joshua Kulei, sought similar orders in a Sh96 million fraud case.

On Tuesday, the court was told that AG Amos Wako had consented to a plea bargain by businessman Kamlesh Pattni to settle the Sh5.8 billion Goldenberg scam case.

Senior state counsel Warui Mungai told chief magistrate Gilbert Mutembei that the AG had considered Pattni
