During the entire campaigning period for the constitution, it became increasingly clear that many Kenyans had not read the Proposed Constitution of Kenya and were merely making decisions based on the rhetoric of their leaders- political and religious.

The month of July was by all respects a busy one for APSEA with several meetings having been organized in readiness for the historic August 4 referendum in which Kenyans would decide their fate on the then Proposed Constitution of Kenya.
