Thursday, 19 August 2010 11:36
Impressed by the role APSEA was playing in educating its members on the Proposed Constitution of Kenya; the Kenya Medical Association organized a forum for its members on 29th July 2010 and invited APSEA to make presentation. The Association managed to bring along renowned constitutional experts, Prof. Yash Pal Ghai and PLO Lumumba to the forum. Discussions at the forum though expected to dwell on the contentious issue of abortion delved into the various provisions in the proposed constitution that address access to quality health.
It was generally agreed that the PCK had progressive provisions that would fundamentally change healthcare in the country.
