ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL SOCIETIES IN EAST AFRICA

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

There are three categories of membership; Corporate, Associate and Affiliate members.
An Association, Society, Institute or other organization seeking admission with APSEA must be a representative of a particular profession or branch or section of a profession in East Africa.

To be admitted as a Corporate Member, the applicant must complete and submit the official application forms confirming that:
It is a body duly registered under the law to represent a specified profession or is a branch of such body of professionals;
That individual members of that body are professionals certified through high level training and examination;
That the body maintains a code of ethics and conduct for its members.
A Body that does not fully meet the above criteria may nonetheless be admitted as an Affiliate Member at the discretion of the Council if the objectives of such an applicant do not conflict with those of APSEA.

The Council may extend an invitation to an individual professional to become an Associate Member if such a professional is a bona fide member of a professional body whether such body is a member of APSEA or not.
